July Meeting – a great talk by Kevin Walsh

The July meeting included the AGM and a fantastic diner of soup, breads and a vast array of deserts. The speaker added wonderfully to the evening. Kevin Walsh (see previous post for background) talked about his work as Manager Horticulture Planning at The Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust. Accompanied by an excellent set of slides, Kevin talked about the variety of the work, the plants chosen and those which become invasive, hard decisions about removing old trees, and the immense variety across the 18 sites he manages.
