Garden Club 2021 activities to commence

We are commencing 2021 with a picnic in the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens near the BBQ area. This will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday 26th January – a BYO arrangement to allow for COVID requirements – this includes chair, food and drink. At this time the weather is forecast to be pleasant (after a hot spell on Sunday and Monday). Friends welcome.

Hello members, I hope Tuesday’s gathering was a success and a delightful afternoon. Unfortunately I was unable to attend but for good reason- spending time with my granddaughter 💕. I am wondering if the garden market will be on this year as Claire and I from Dig It on mainfm would love to do an outside broadcast from the market, interviewing stall hook dets and customers! What do you think?? Cheers lou Lorback

Hi Lou – we are holding a small Plant sale on March 7 (Sunday) – to sell the plants that had been grown for the cancelled 2020 market,
It will be located in the Carpark of the Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club – same day as the Farmers / Artists market.
With regard to the 2021 Garden Market; we will still be aiming to schedule this for the Sunday of the Melbourne Cup weekend but this is still in pending mode; we will discuss at the next committee meeting and send you an update

    • Hello Lou, we are certainly hoping to hold the garden market this year – Sunday 31 October. Your message has been sent to the market coordinator for comment.
